Done Deal, Midfielder Boosts AmaZulu After Leaving Bucs

A youngster, who was previously on the books of Orlando Pirates, has been snapped up by AmaZulu.

As reported by the Siya crew earlier this year, Pirates parted ways with Charlie Hlalele, who had been playing for the club’s MultiChoice Diski Challenge team. 

The young midfielder went on to join Mdantsane-based Tornado FC in the ABC Motsepe League, after leaving Bucs with is twin brother Freddie.  

Following his a stint with the Eastern Cape club, which ended after their participation in the recently finished play-offs, the 23-year-old player has been signed by Usuthu for the upcoming season.

“We have signed Charlie Hlalele. We saw him playing for the team from the Eastern Cape in the play-offs,” confirmed AmaZulu team manager Qedi Dlamini.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit has also been working on finalising a permanent deal for Pirates’ Thembela Sikhakhane.

Argentinean striker Emiliano Tade, Moeneeb Josephs and Nhlanhla Vilakazi are some of the players on their way to join Usuthu for the new season, as confirmed by the KZN club.
