Kaizer Chiefs legend and current head coach of their Multichoice Diski Challenge team, Arthur Zwane, thinks that their youth side can turn things around following their poor results.
The Glamour Boys’ MDC team have won just one of their five games so far this season, losing the other four as they dropped down to 13th in the 16-team league.
Now, as they prepare to take on Bloemfontein Celtic at Dr Molemela Stadium on Sunday, ‘10111’ says that he’s confident they can bounce back from the 3-2 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns after giving away a 2-0 lead.
He told Chiefs’ official website, “We didn’t play in the second half as we did in the first. Sundowns fielded some players from the senior side, while we used a very young side, including our two centre backs. It will be a good learning curve for them. The MDC is about development and that’s why, despite the loss, I can take a lot of positives out of this match.
“Except for the Golden Arrows game, we were the better team in all the other matches. It has all made us stronger.”
Meanwhile, going into this weekend’s MDC clash, he added, “The match against Celtic will be tough. The break will give us an opportunity to regroup. From there on, there will still be nine matches to play for, so there is still time to finish strongly.
“We have a lot of quality in the team. We will get it right.”
